Corellon is the chief deity of the elven pantheon, known as the Seldarine, and one of the most powerful gods in existence. He is the creator of the elven people, having shaped them from the stars and his own divine essence. He embodies magic, art, beauty, and the grace that elves strive to exemplify. He is depicted as an impossibly graceful elven figure of fluid, androgynous beauty — a deity who transcends mortal categories.

Corellon has a deep and ancient enmity with Gruumsh, the orcish god, having personally blinded him in a divine conflict at the dawn of time. The hatred between elves and orcs traces directly to this primordial clash between their patron deities.

Followers

Corellon is worshipped primarily by elves of all kinds, as well as half-elves and those who deeply admire elven culture. His followers value artistic excellence, magical mastery, graceful movement, and the preservation of elven heritage. His clergy are typically scholar-priests who are also accomplished artists or mages. Non-elven followers tend to be those who feel a deep spiritual connection to elven ideals of beauty and magic.

Divine Relationships

Corellon leads the Seldarine, the elven pantheon, and has close relationships with all its members. His eternal enemy is Gruumsh, whose eye he put out in combat. He is allied with Mystra and values the responsible use of magic. He has a complex relationship with Lolth, the spider goddess, who was once a member of the Seldarine before her corruption and betrayal caused her to be cast out.
