Mielikki is the goddess of forests and the patron deity of rangers — the benevolent face of the wilderness, representing the beauty, wonder, and life of the natural world rather than its indifferent power. Where Silvanus embodies the vast impersonal force of nature, Mielikki embodies the forest as a place of life, community, and wonder. She deeply loves all forest creatures, particularly unicorns, which she considers sacred.
She is warm and active where Silvanus is cold and passive, more willing to intervene on behalf of individual creatures and people in need.
Followers
Mielikki is primarily worshipped by rangers, druids, and those who live in or near forests. Her followers are expected to protect forests, care for woodland creatures, and live in harmony with the natural world. Her clergy rarely build formal temples — they tend their forest territories as living shrines. Followers tend to be quiet, observant, deeply compassionate toward animals, and fiercely protective of the wild places under their care.
Divine Relationships
Mielikki is closely allied with Silvanus and Chauntea, forming the core of the nature deity triad. She is especially connected to Eldath, the goddess of peace and quiet places, and the two are considered close companions. She has a warm relationship with Corellon through their shared love of forests and natural beauty. She opposes Malar, the god of the hunt, whose brutal approach to predation she finds cruel and excessive.
