Eldath is the goddess of peace, quiet places, and still waters — the gentlest of the nature deities and perhaps the most passive of all divine beings. She embodies the silence of deep forest pools, the peace of a secluded grove, and the profound stillness that exists at the heart of the natural world. She avoids conflict with an almost absolute commitment, preferring to withdraw rather than fight.
Her passivity is sometimes criticized as weakness, but her followers understand it as a deeper kind of strength — the ability to remain centered and peaceful in a world of constant violence.
Followers
Eldath’s followers are pacifists, healers, hermits, and those who seek peaceful resolution to conflict. Her sacred sites are groves and pools in wilderness areas, which she designates as sanctuaries where violence is forbidden. Her clergy are among the most gentle and non-confrontational in the world — they tend to be healers, mediators, and those who provide sanctuary to refugees and the wounded. They deeply dislike combat and will avoid it almost at any cost.
Divine Relationships
Eldath is closely allied with Mielikki and Silvanus, and the three are considered the core of the nature deity group. She has a particularly close friendship with Mielikki. She is opposed by virtually all violent and destructive deities, particularly Talos and Malar, whose domains of violence and predation are anathema to her peaceful nature.
