Lliira is the goddess of joy, happiness, and uninhibited celebration — a deity of pure positive emotion who believes that the capacity for joy is one of the most sacred gifts of mortal existence. She is depicted as a young woman dancing ecstatically in bright-colored clothes, laughing and scattering flower petals, radiating an almost overwhelming sense of delight. She has no patience for sorrow, repression, or anything that deliberately dampens the joy of others.
Lliira does not value the crafted, earned joy of Milil’s perfect performance — she values the spontaneous, uncontrollable, wholly genuine joy that erupts in the middle of a festival or at the end of a long journey home. She is one of the most beloved deities among common people.

Lliira attracts those who celebrate life — festival organizers, dancers, musicians who play for pure joy rather than craft, innkeepers, and anyone who finds meaning in communal celebration. Her followers are expected to spread joy, organize celebrations, protect the freedom of others to be happy, and actively oppose those who crush joy in others through cruelty or oppression. Her clergy are wandering festival-priests who organize celebrations wherever they go. They tend to be exuberant, warm, sometimes frustratingly carefree, and surprisingly fierce when something they love is threatened.
Divine Relationships
Lliira has a complex relationship with Milil — both deal in music and performance, but his emphasis on craft and excellence sometimes clashes with her celebration of spontaneous joy. She is allied with Sune and Tymora, whose domains of love, beauty, and good fortune complement her own joyful nature. She opposes Shar above all others, as the Lady of Loss represents the deliberate destruction of joy and hope that Lliira holds most sacred.
