The Salt Grove exists on the same storm-battered island chain as The Tempest Crown, but where the Stormwardens embrace the violence of the sea, the druids of the Salt Grove accept its patience, hunger, and memory. They are sea druids who watch tides, reefs, currents, storms, migrations, shipwrecks, and the strange things that rise from the deep.
The druids call themselves the Tide Circle, warning ships away from unnatural waters, calming wounded sea beasts, and reading omens in dead fish and broken shells.
Grove Elder: Maerith Brine
An old sea elf druid with weathered blue-green skin, white hair tangled with shells, and eyes the color of deep water before a storm. She speaks bluntly and has little patience for landfolk who think the sea is empty space between ports. Maerith believes the ocean is alive, ancient, and always keeping count.
