The Woad Guard is a druidic grove based near the cursed forests of Caer Valance, where the old trees press close to the coast and the Wode begins to twist into something darker. They are wardens, hunters, healers, and curse-breakers who guard the border of the Wode and keep its horrors from spilling into nearby farms, roads, and villages.
The Woad Guard fight hags, vampires, undead, cursed beasts, blighted plants, and dream-haunted travelers. They believe the Wode can bleed, and every horror stopped at the treeline is a victory.
Thornwarden: Thornwarden Maelis Crowvale
A hard-eyed human druid with bark-brown armor, gray-streaked hair, and a necklace of vampire fangs and carved wooden charms. She is practical, grim, and deeply protective of common folk who live too close to the cursed woods. Maelis does not speak of nature as peaceful. To her, nature is survival, rot, hunger, and renewal.
