The Blackreed Circle is a remote northern grove in Varondale, hidden among cold marshes, black reeds, shallow lakes, and mist-choked waterways. They are druids of medicine, poison, rot, and survival, known for growing rare herbs that can save a dying man or kill a healthy one before sunset.
The Circle keeps mostly to itself and does not welcome casual visitors. Locals respect them, fear them, and leave offerings at the edge of the marsh when sickness spreads or strange beasts descend from the northern wilds.
Reedmother: Reedmother Ulvara Skent
An old human druid with black-gray hair, stained fingers, and a voice like wet leaves dragging over stone. She knows every plant in the marsh by taste, use, and death. She is not cruel, but she believes softness gets people killed in places like Varondale.
Note: The grove is unreachable and has not made contact with anyone since last summer.
